Jeffrey Earnhardt Set to Start 10th in Pocono Green 250 With iK9

LONG POND, PA – Xtreme Concepts Racing driver Jeffrey Earnhardt qualified 10th Saturday morning in his No. 18 iK9 Toyota Supra after running a 53.492-second lap for the Pocono Green 250 Recycled by J.P. Mascaro & Sons. This will be Earnhardt’s 4th time racing at Pocono Raceway. However, it will be his first time racing in the Xfinity Series, with the other three times coming in the Cup series.

His qualifying time was 0.370-seconds faster than his best time in the two practice sessions on Friday. This continued an upward trend of improvement after running 0.527-seconds faster on Friday from practice session one to two. In qualifying, he clocked in 0.770-seconds slower than Cole Custer, who won the pole with a 52.722-second lap.

This marks Earnhardt’s 5th time qualifying in the top 10 this season after six races in the series. Now he has his sights set on following up his career-best performance last weekend at Charlotte, where he was able to overcome a flat tire to rally for a 3rd place finish.

Earnhardt will take the green flag in his JGR No. 18 iK9 Toyota Supra just after 1:00 pm ET Saturday at Pocono Raceway. You can catch all the action from the Pocono Green 250 on FS1.
