MIS Update: 1st Foundation Driver Brandon Jones Finding Speed in LTI Printing 250 Practice

Action is underway at Michigan International Speedway, where Brandon Jones in the No. 19 1st Foundation Toyota Supra is getting up to speed looking to rebound from a disappointing early exit last weekend at Pocono.

Practice session one of the day got underway at 1:05 pm EST with Jones taking 14 laps refamiliarizing himself with the 2-mile track. His fastest laps around the track clocked in at 38.910-seconds, which was 0.767-seconds off the quickest time, held by Christopher Bell.

After an hour break, the Xfinity driver went back out for their final practice session of the day. It was a busy one for Brandon Jones, who took 33 laps, which included practice runs down pit road. His best lap time of the session came in the final 15 minutes, running a 38.609-second lap.

He clocked in 0.581-seconds slower than Bell, who led the field in both practices. However, Jones found more speed in 2nd practice, clocking in 0.301-seconds faster. Bell was only able to improve his time by 0.052-seconds in the final session.

On-track activity is wrapped up for the Xfinity Series for Friday. On Saturday, Jones will take his No. 19 1st Foundation Toyota Supra back on track for qualifying at 10:30 am EST at Michigan International Speedway. Green flag for LTi Printing 250 is set to fly just after 1:30 pm EST.
